Dams running along the green reservoir in the below picture are main dams of Dong Nai Hydropower plant. The head office of Dong Nai Hydropower company is situated in the high land city of Bao Loc, Lam Dong province.
Dong Nai Hydropower company has been established and officially put into operation since February, 2011. Its main task is operation management of Dong Nai 3&4 Hydropower plants. In addition, the company also participates into another business activities namely: Management of operation and maintenance; improvement of electrical equipment, water constructional works and architecture of power plants; testing and adjustment of electrical equipment; mechanical fabrication; electricity production and business, participation into competitive power generation market.
Dong Nai 3&4 Hydropower projects were commenced in 2004 on the upstream of Dong Nai river, belong to Lam Dong and Dak Nong provinces of Vietnam. The main dam of Dong Nai 3 Hydropower plant (2x90MW) is 107,5 meters high, 572 meters long. Annual average electricity output of the plant reaches about 607 million kWh. From the official generation until February 6th, 2013 , the accumulated electricity output of the plant achieved about 845,5 million kWh.
Annual average electricity output of Dong Nai 4 Hydropower plant (2x170MW) is 1,1 billion kWh. From the official connection to the national grid until February 6th, 2013, the accumulated electricity output of the plant reached about 1 billion kWh
