Da Nhim – Ham Thuan – Da Mi Hydropower Joint Stock Company

Reffering to the earliest hydropower works of our country, many people may be aware of Da Nhim Hydropower Plant (160MW) that has brought the first - rank high economic value within our entire hydropower system, and it belongs to the upper ladder step of Dong Nai river system.

The plant has been put into operation since 1964. Until 1994, Song Pha (7,5MW) was additionally built to take advantage of water sources after running the Da Nhim turbine. In 2001, Da Nhim Hydropower Plant took over two additional hydropower plants namely Ham Thuan (300MW) and Da Mi (175MW) to take form of Da Nhim - Ham Thuan - Da Mi Company (DHD). In Octorber of 2011, the Company was transferred to a joint stock company.

DHD has got total 269 staff and employees with the quality management system ISO 9001: 2008, mordern technology machines and a team of managers, technicians and skilled workers who are rich in experience and very enthusiatic. DHD is now operating 04 hydropower plants including 13 units with total capacity of 642.5 MW. It is ranked in the fourth of the whole country, only after Son La, Hoa Binh, Ialy Hydropower plants; has synchronized into the National Grid with average of over 2.6 billion kWh per annum. The Company also achieves a lot of capabilities and experience in other fields such as repair, maintenance, reformation and test of power plants, substations, technical line; consultancy of building up power sources, of project management, of inspection; support of operation; trainning of operator forces, and so on.

Apart from the power generation task, the hydropower storage ponds managed by DHD also play an important role in regulating water sources for lowlands, increasing stream flows running to Tri An Lake in the dry season, creating output for Tri An Hydropower Plant.

Development objectives that DHD is approaching are "Depth, stability and sustainability", because of specific characteristics of hydropower section, changes of depth will contribute a part to bring sustainable value for development of human resource.
