Nghi Son 1 Thermal Power Plant
At the end of 2022, the maximum electricity output of Nghi Son 1 Thermal Power Plant is estimated to reach 3,032.96 million kWh, contributing over 81.6 billion VND to the state budget. The plant has also achieved its targets for the rate of unplanned shutdowns, maintenance shutdowns, and availability factor, exceeding the plan. The company has completed major repairs for Unit 1, ensuring quality, safety, and meeting the schedule. Additionally, it has implemented various corporate governance and cost management measures, improved capital utilization efficiency, and increased efficiency in bidding activities to enhance production and business efficiency.
The company has effectively controlled its occupational health and safety management, fire and explosion prevention, natural disaster prevention and search and rescue, and environmental protection. There were no incidents of fire or explosion, environmental accidents, work-related accidents, or damages caused by natural disasters throughout the year. Moreover, the company is a typical unit invited by the Industrial Safety and Environment Technical Bureau (Ministry of Industry and Trade) to share its achievements and efforts in handling and utilizing slag and gypsum.
Throughout the year, the company has made many highlights in its production, business and management activities, achieving good results. Firstly, it has done well in its corporate management duties. Based on Decision No. 198/QD-EVNGENCO1 dated April 20, 2022 of Power Generation Corporation 1 (EVNGENCO1), the company has carried out the contents of corporate management tasks according to the plan to ensure timely progress and quality. Notably, outstanding results include administrative reform through promoting electronic files, using technology applications and software, completing assigned labor productivity targets, ensuring environmental protection, and maintaining good communication.
In particular, in the fields of science, technology, and environmental protection, in 2022, the company implemented a scientific and technological research topic "Research on control and monitoring of raw water supply and reuse water system using SCADA on Web platform at Nghi Son 1 Thermal Power Plant"; approved and recognized 29 technical innovation initiatives (12 initiatives approved by the EVNGENCO1) that brought high efficiency and reliability to the machine units, including some outstanding initiatives such as the solution to renovate the air gap for cleaning the furnace slag, improvement of installation of the hydrogen leakage detection system for power generators...
In the field of digital transformation, in 2022, the Company completed the RCM evaluation for 12 systems; completed the update of all data for 8 RCM systems built in 2021 onto the PMIS software for effectiveness evaluation; continued to effectively exploit specialized software such as: online PCT-LCT management software; procurement management software; online performance calculation software; automatic application updating of operating parameters for central control positions (furnace chief, turbine chief, main electrician).
In terms of training, the company provided training for 1,531 out of the planned 1,451 individuals. Additionally, the company conducted training on the E-learning system for 4,382 out of the planned 4,050 individuals. Overall, in 2022, the development of human resources through training was able to complete the set plan and contribute to improving the quality of the workforce, which can meet the short-term and long-term production needs of the company.
It is mentioned that the company has maintained good activities to improve the material and spiritual life of its employees, especially by continuing to carry out noble actions such as timely organizing caring activities, providing support and encouragement to its staff. Additionally, the company regularly maintains and strengthens its social security work at the local level with many practical and meaningful activities that have been recognized by local authorities and people.
On the occasion of the Lunar New Year Quy Mao 2023, Nghi Son Thermal Power Company in collaboration with the districts and wards in Thanh Hoa province organized the program "Love Spring" and gave gifts to policy households, poor households, near-poor households, and people in difficult circumstances in the province. On January 12th, Mr. Le Duc Giang, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, along with Mr. Vo Manh Ha, Director of Nghi Son Thermal Power Company, and comrades in the working delegation of Hoang Hoa district, Hoang Luu Commune, presented 110 gift packages from Nghi Son Thermal Power Company to poor households in difficult circumstances in Hoang Luu Commune. Each gift package was worth 1 million VND and included a souvenir worth 300,000 VND.

Earlier, on January 11th, Nghi Son Thermal Power Company organized the "Spring of Love" program and gave gifts to families with contributions to the revolution, poor households, near-poor households, and people in difficult circumstances in Hai Ha commune, Hai Thuong ward, and Truc Lam ward, Nghi Son town to welcome the Lunar New Year of the Quy Mao year 2023. The company gave 100 Tet gifts worth 1 million dong per package to families with contributions to the revolution, poor households, near-poor households, and elderly people in difficult circumstances in the area.
According to Mr. Vo Manh Ha, Director of the Company, in 2023, the collective of officials and employees of the Company will continue to unite, concentrate all efforts to ensure the safe, reliable and efficient operation of the units, meeting the electricity production output to serve the socio-economic development.
