EVNGENCO1 exceeded the electricity production output plan for the first six months of 2024

In the first half of 2024, electricity consumption continued to rise significantly, with the system load in June increasing by 11.17% compared to the same period in 2023. To meet the growing electricity demand, EVNGENCO1 implemented various solutions to ensure electricity supply during the 2024 dry season, focusing on operating power plants to meet the mobilization needs of the national power system.

Basically ensuring electricity supply during peak months of the dry season.

EVNGENCO1 prioritized fuel supply for thermal power plants as a key task. Since the beginning of the year, EVNGENCO1 has consistently maintained fuel sources sufficient to meet operational demands and reserve requirements. The company collaborated with local authorities to implement water-saving plans efficiently, ensuring adequate water supply for downstream needs throughout the dry season. Additionally, the company flexibly coordinated maintenance and repair efforts, enhanced operational guidance, and motivated personnel to ensure production reliability.

With comprehensive and effective measures, EVNGENCO1 produced 16,728 billion kWh in the first six months of 2024, achieving 101.4% of the assigned plan, equivalent to 53.4% of the 2024 annual plan, fundamentally meeting the assigned plan during this year's dry season peak months. Investment projects are progressing according to EVNGENCO1's assigned schedule. As of the end of June, construction implementation and disbursement values reached 50% of EVN's 2024 plan.

Environmental protection efforts were emphasized, with stringent and effective measures implemented. In mid-June, EVNGENCO1 organized a promotion conference and met with slag consumers for 2024 at the Duyen Hai Thermal Power Company to resolve difficulties and accelerate slag consumption in the upcoming period.

In the first six months of 2024, EVNGENCO1 and its units carried out numerous social welfare programs in operational areas, including housing support for disadvantaged families, school repairs, and scholarship awards. These activities contributed to promoting positive images and values of EVNGENCO1's social responsibility within the community, enhancing understanding and support for the company's operations and its units.

Flexible and effective maintenance and repair operations were coordinated to ensure production reliability.

The key focus for July 2024 is to ensure readiness of all units for mobilization.

July 2024 is projected to remain a peak month with high heatwave-induced electricity demand. EVNGENCO1 prioritizes ensuring readiness of all units to fulfill the 2.62 billion kWh of assigned electricity production. Specifically, thermal power units maintain safe, stable, and reliable operations to contribute to ensuring electricity supply during the dry season peak and throughout 2024 as directed by EVN. Hydroelectric units ensure stable plant operation, adhere to local water supply requirements during the dry season, and enhance power generation to accommodate reservoir capacity for flood reception ahead of the 2024 flood season. Maintenance and repair operations continue as planned.

Furthermore, EVNGENCO1 and its units will focus on and enhance preparations for the 2024 rainy season and typhoon readiness. Hydroelectric units ensure close coordination with relevant agencies and dam/reservoir owners to operate reservoirs safely for construction and downstream areas.

Investment and construction, digital transformation, and other activities will continue to be implemented sustainably and stably to maintain production operations throughout the company.
